The scrappage scheme explained
The government has recently brought in a car scrappage scheme, which offers drivers a cash incentive to scrap their old cars and replace them with shiny new ones. £1000 from the government plus at least £1500 customer saving from Skoda.
Your car will be eligible as long as you meet the following criteria:
• The vehicle must have been first registered in the UK on or before 31 August 1999.
• The claimant keeper must have been registered keeper for at least 12 months before new vehicle order date.
• The claimant must have a UK address on the registration certificate (V5C)
• There must be no outstanding finance on the vehicle.
• The vehicle must have a valid MOT.
